Peggy's Cove

Wow! What a day yesterday was! We started out in Halifax. Thersa came and picked Ruth, Nyxy and Me up. Then we enjoyed a super awesome brunch at Jenny's Place where I had the best Eggs Benedict ever! Thanks Thersa!

Ummm, for breakfast Thersa?

Thersa and me.

Ruth, Thersa, Me. (that's Ruth's concentrating on pushing the button face)

Thersa, what are you doing?

Then we drove up to one of the Titanic Grave Sites at Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where we met up with Renee and Sharon. We all piled into Renee's car and headed to another Titanic burial site.

Then, on to Fort Needham, which is a memorial park, built in  honor of the 2,000 victims of the December 6, 1917 Halifax explosion. The explosion was the result of a Belgian relief ship colliding with a French munitions vessel and was the largest man made explosion prior to the atomic bomb. The explosion destroyed 325 acres of the northern Halifax peninsula.
